1.      Many people believe that television violence has a negative effect on society because it promotes violence. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your response.

2.      Do you think music/movies that have explicit content should be censored? If not what would be some effects? If yes, why do you think so? Use specific reasons and examples to support your response.

We all have a special friend, who we spend most of our time with, talking to, hanging out with and telling our secrets to! If you and your best friend or friends could go on an unforgettable adventure anywhere in or outside of this world, what would it look like? Who else would be there? where would it be? what would  you be wearing? what time of day would it be? what technology would you use (if any)? what would you do?  Write a short story (1-2 complete paragraphs) to illustrate your adventure.

Example 1:
My best friends' names are Joey and Marcia. Joey, Marcia and I have a spaceship in which we like to visit the Earth once in a while to keep in touch with our parents and other friends. Now we live in a planet called Luximwoobylywoobylywoohuhu! It is the best place to be. It has slides that are as long as 1,000 years. There is sticky goo everywhere in the ground and when you get enough on your feet, you can jump as high as the top of Mount Everest. My friends and I love to play with the goo and jump high to reach the delicious blurple (a color between blue and purple) candies that grow on the trees here. The sky changes color everyday and there are weird creatures hanging out everywhere. Our clothes are made of a material unknown to Earth and it is the softest, coolest thing ever. Our outfits allow us to fly and I love flying with my friends. When we are in Luximwoobylywoobylywoohuhu, we never have to go to sleep unless we want to, because there are special glasses that allow us to keep our eyes open for a longer time. My friends and I have the best time here, and I want to bring my family so they too can have fun too. 


Example 2:
It is funny to talk about my best friend because I rarely see her; however, if we could do anything together, it would definitely make my day. If we both knew how to drive, I think we would spend a whole day driving around the city of Houston. We would eat junk food like snow cones, and chili cheese fries. We would be wearing our most comfortable clothes, like a t-shirt, jeans and royal blue converses. Just driving through the highways with the radio at full volume and singing the song A Pocket Full of Sunshine. If I could do anything it would just be with my best friend and my twin sister Vanessa (P-chan).
